Value Assessment

Value Assessment

In today’s world, we believe value for money is as important as ever. And that extends to your investments.

This report outlines the steps we’re taking to continue offering you value for money as an investor in our funds and how we’re meeting the high standards you’ve come to expect from us.

We also explain how we’ve assessed our range of funds against certain key measures to determine the value they deliver to you – whether that’s through funds’ investment performance, the costs we save on account of us being a larger company, and how our charges compare with those of our competitors.

Look out, too, for the full breakdown of our assessment across all the different unit classes of each fund, and what this means for you.

This report has been produced by the board of Legal & General (Unit Trust Managers) Limited, who are responsible for the oversight of your investments.

Note that the 2020 Value Assessment Report was conducted and published using gross performance figures. This approach was not as prescribed and net performance figures have been used for the 2021 Value Assessment.

The impact of COVID-19 on your investments

We are conscious that COVID-19 has provided numerous challenges over the past year. To mitigate these impacts on your investments we have taken a number of actions to continue providing value. These have included the transitioning of our customer service teams to work primarily from home, as well as replacing in-person events such as EGMs (extraordinary general meetings) with remote ones.

Rest assured, we continue to evolve the way we work with and communicate with you – whatever the path out of lockdown may look like.
