    Fund Managers

    Guy Stern

    Guy is responsible for overseeing the asset allocation of assets in Standard Life Investments multi-asset portfolios, and overall management of the MAI Team. He is Chairman of the Strategic Investment Group.

    Guy started his investment career with Jefferies and Co and Smith Barney in New York in 1983. He furthered his career in both the United States and Germany before joining Credit Suisse Asset Management as CIO, Multi-Asset Class Solutions in 2002. He joined Standard Life Investments as Head of Multi-Asset Management in April 2008. Guy now has a total of ten years investment experience at Standard Life Investments with 34 years’ experience in the industry.

    Roger Sadewsky

    Roger is Head of Multi-Asset Investing Portfolio Management and a member of the Multi Asset Investing team, co-manager on the Absolute Return Global Bond Strategies Fund and a portfolio manager on the Global Absolute Return Strategies Fund and Total Return Credit Fund. He is a senior member of the SIG (Strategic Investment Group). He manages a team responsible for managing Absolute Return, Targeted return, Balanced fund and Tactical asset mandates. Prior to that he was a portfolio manager in the credit team managing corporate bond portfolios and aggregate bond portfolios for Standard Life group and external clients. He has always taken a great interest and provided research input into Macro Credit being responsible for much of the allocation of credit to the above funds.

    His background is in macro fixed income, having begun his career in rates, then specialising in credit and credit derivatives. Previous experience was gained in Rates and Credit at Deutsche Bank, and then at JPMorgan being responsible for distributing credit product (cash and derivative) to UK asset managers. Whilst working within the credit team for eight years, Roger was responsible for developing our macro expertise within the team by working very closely with Credit, Rates and Multi-Asset teams. He has 13 years investment experience at Standard Life Investments with 33 years’ experience in the industry.

    Neil Richardson

    Neil joined Standard Life Investments in October 2011, initially placed in the Credit team to gain experience of the asset class and our collaborative approach; he transitioned to the Multi Asset Investment Team in 2012. Neil is a GARS portfolio manager, focused on idea generation and portfolio construction. In addition he is the MAI Asset Class Expert ( ACE ) for equities, liaising with the ASI equity teams globally to ensure that the key insights and ideas from them are shared across the team. He also contributes to the asset allocation of other portfolios managed within the Multi-Asset Team, and sits on the Strategic Investment Group.

    Before joining Standard Life Investments Neil was Head of UK Equities at Ignis, heading a 9-strong team managing £8bn. Prior to that he spent 4 years at Citi on the Pan European Equities sales desk, where he was responsible for a large number of accounts, with widely differing investment styles. At Threadneedle his strong fundamental analytical abilities were recognised with his promotion to Head of Pan European Research. His career encompasses over 20 years on the buy-side and four years on the sell-side, giving a broad and deep understanding of capital markets and the investment community. In total Neil has six years investment experience at Standard Life Investments with 33 years’ industry experience.
