Fund aim

The fund aims to exceed the FTSE Actuaries UK Index Linked Gilts Over 5 Years Index by 0.75% p.a. (before fees) over a three year rolling period.

Fund characteristics

The Fund predominantly invests UK Government index linked securities. It may also invest in other index linked securities, fixed interest securities and corporate bonds. Investments may include UK and overseas assets (with currency exposure hedged back to sterling). It can hold cash and may invest in money market products. The Fund has the ability to use derivatives for efficient portfolio management. The Fund has a duration of up to +/- 2 years relative to its benchmark and a maximum tracking error of 1.5%.

Previously, Simon was at Aberdeen Asset Management where he was a portfolio manager in both the Global Macro team and the European Product team for four years. Simon graduated from Bournemouth University with a BA (hons) in financial services and holds the Investment Management Certificate.
