The investment objective is to exceed the benchmark by 1.00% p.a. (before fees) over a three year rolling period. A composite benchmark of 50% FTSE Actuaries UK Conventional Gilts All Stocks Index and 50% Markit iBoxx £ Non-Gilts Index is used for performance measurement purposes.

Fund characteristics

The fund invests in the UK Fixed Interest - All Stocks and Active Corporate Bond - All Stocks Funds which are actively managed and each have their own objective and benchmark. The asset distribution of the fund is split approximately 50:50 between the two funds. The objective of the funds is to invest primarily in fixed interest gilts and sterling corporate bonds. The underlying funds may also hold derivatives such as index and single stock futures for efficient portfolio management.
